Welcome to the Hunters Guide...
Here you will find all the details you will need to seek out the colorful Cinnamon & Black Pastels

GENETICS:
Incomplete - Dominant: (Co- Dominant) A Cinnamon breed to a normal will produce 50% Cinnamons and 50% Normals. A cinnamon breed to a Cinnamon will produce 25% Black Balls / 50% Cinnamons / 25% Normals

1. Cinnamons or Cinnys (name I will use for the rest of the guide) have a wonderful light tan body color as they get older and have beautiful reddish brown body color (cinnamon color) as babies. They also have Tons of blushing as shown with the GREEN circles, the blushing color is a light faded chocolate. They have the Faded unicolor head as shown with the PURPLE circle. They also have FLAMES, (see a trend with flames yet? you will...) as shown with the BLUE circles. These two snakes in my opinion are STUNNING examples of a Cinnamon Pastel.

2. Another Cinnamon. Once again notice the FLAMES as shown with the BLUE circle. The Body color is more of a tasty chocolate color (bottom GREEN arrow) and you can see the blushing with the top green GREEN arrow. Take note of the faded unicolor head ( PURPLE circle) once again. Seeing a trend yet?

3. The Black Pastel . The body color on these guys as they get older is an odd mix of yellow and cinnamon as shown with the RED arrows. They also have the FLAMES (shown in GREEN circles) but usually not as drastic as the others. The one best identification mark on these guys and the Gulf Coast line are ( i shouldnt even share this secret lol but that's what's the guides are for) squiggles surrounding the black circles where the alien heads should be. (Shown with the BLUE arrows and circles).

4. This is one of those in-between ones could be a Cinnamon or Black Pastel.. . They both share very similar traits. The color on this guy is almost a text book Cinny Baby color, not all Cinnys are this drastic in color as babies, but I think it is a wonderful example. Once again you can see the flames and the squiggles (shown with the GREEN circles)  Black Pastels tend not to have as faded heads as the others. I hope you are starting to see the TREND by now.

5. The head of most Cinnys tend to be faded and unicolor. You can see the faded unicolor head with the PURPLE arrow. Also most cinnamons (I think all) have deep black eyes shown with the BLUE arrow. The facial stripe also seems to be a little faded as shown with the GREEN arrow

6. Pattern, all Cinnys share a VERY similar pattern. Where the "alien heads" would appear on a normal, Cinnys have one black dot or circle (shown with the BLUE arrows) I call this the "Mojave Pattern". They also have what we term Floating circles that do not touch the belly. (shown in the RED circles). They have this pattern all the way down the sides (similar to a mojave). Go back through the pics above and you will see they all have it.

7. Stomach, here is a very nice example of a Cinny belly. Note the flames in GREEN.

Variations and examples...

Example 1- This is a w.c. Black Pastel, can you see al the traits (the trend)? First off let me say sorry about the terrible picture, its hard to see color but it will give you an example of the traits we look for. Flames in RED. Squiggles in BLUE.  The clear belly in Yellow, and the Blushing in GREEN. He does have the usual Black Pastel color but this picture just does not show it. He also does have the deep black eyes. Not the best example of a w.c. but you get the idea.

Example 2- This animals shows a huge amount of Flames shown in GREEN, also you can better see the Blushing in RED in this picture. Also the faded unicolor head and black eyes show nicely (BLUE arrow)

Example 3- This is a phenomenal example of a Black pastel, Tons of flames running down both sides of the animal! Check out his stomach in the second picture.

There are many more variations, but they all follow the same rules.

1. Color, color, color (some are better than others but they all have similar coloring)
2. Flames
3. Unicolor faded head (to different extremes)
4. Blushing
5. Black eyes
6. Some lines have squiggles.

Hope this helps
